Products - Corrugated Board

A corrugated board consists of two major components – linerboard and medium. Linerboard is the flat paper that covers both sides of the sheet whilst the medium is the “Fluted” or arched paper found between both liners.

Types of Corrugated Flutes

Corrugated board used for boxes is generally made in four flute sizes A, B, C, and E. The “Flute” describes the structure of the wave-shaped cardboard material that makes up a board’s corrugation.

A-Flute makes the most of corrugated cushioning and excellent stacking strength for fragile and delicate items.
B-flute board, on the other hand, has the best flat crush resistance and is used primarity for die-cut boxes.
C-flute board, the most popular flute which has replaced most of A-flute type with good stacking strength and good crush resistance
E-flute board, which is light weight, finds application as a raw material for consumer units or display packages, often with a white superior printing surface and excellent for custom die cut boxes.

Types of Board

According to its construction, corrugated board is classified into:

Single-face Corrugated board or single face roll:

Made from one layer of fluting and one liner, commonly used for wrapping uneven objects and as separating pads.

Single Wall Board :

Made from one layer of fluting sandwiched between two liners. different flutes can be used depending upon strength required.

Double Wall Board :

Made from two layers of fluting sandwiched between three liners. Different flutes may be combined in double wall board. Double wall should be used when stronger boxes and extra padding are needed. Exvellent for stacking heavy items.

Triple Wall Board :

Made from three layers of fluting sandwiched between four liners. Again different flutes may be combined to form triple wall board. Triple wall cardboard boxes are the strongest and most crush resistant boxes to use for storage and transit
